Can I charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max in the 2014 Navi?

Got a 2014 Lincoln Navigator secondhand from my brother for really cheap but I'm worried I can't charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max in it. How can I make sure it charges? I tried a 12V car charger plugged in but it's not working. Help troubleshoot or find a better way. Thanks.

Couple things to check first, make sure that 12V socket is even getting power because some of em only work when the ignition is on. Try plugging in something else (like a dashcam or cheap USB light) to see if it's live, if it is and still no charge, the issue might be with the charger itself. Look for one that supports USB-C PD with at least 20W output like Anger
But worst case, you can wire in a USB-C port to the dash or glove box.

Try a USB-C PD charger rated for at least 30W in the 12V socket. I know, same as @Xperiencedman here said, but it's really the way to go because some older sockets just don't push enough juice for newer phones. If that doesn't work, maybe just stick with the old power bank technique. Hahaha oldie but a goodie.

Awesome tips! I added a USB-C port to my dashboard and connected it to a 30W PD charger in the 12V socket, which totally solved my slow charging problems. I still carry a power bank as a backup for those long trips, just to be safe. It's definitely a winning setup

The 2014 Navigator has USB ports already, so try those. They're going to charge your phone slowly, but they'll charge it nonetheless. As for the 12V charger, it's either the charger, the cable or the socket, so @Xperiencedman gave you some good advice here.
